The most likely cause is that your C4D is not fully up-to-date. Newer versions of C4D often break older plugins. Update your C4D.
Remember, the RKT Field Driver Tag appears in the right-click tags menu, NOT the Extensions dropdown.

Yes! As long as another plugin has parameters that can be animated, RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1 should be able to affect them.
In regards to various material Node systems, it’s best to drive with: Arnold – Attribute: display_color. Redshift’s Attribute – RSMGColor

C4D will display a warning that there is a missing plugin, and the RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1 objects in the Object Manager will show as question marks. If a scene file is saved on a machine that doesn’t have RKT Field Driver or Field Pack 1, but includes the question marks, once it is returned to a machine that has RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1 installed, it will automatically work again (assuming the RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1 objects weren’t deleted by the user).
A RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1 can be baked in the Advanced Tab.

The render farm will require RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1 to be installed. If a third-party farm does not have RKT Field Driver and Field Pack 1, have the vendor contact Rocket Lasso.
Bake down RKT Field Driver Tags to ensure correct rendering on a render farm. Bake down Cloners using Field Pack 1 to ensure correct rendering on a render farm.

First, check if, under the RKT Field Driver “Advanced” tab, you have “Viewport Feedback” activated.
Next, is the Object your tag is on hidden? Are the Stop Lights red dots, or a parent’s Stop Lights red dots? If the object is hidden, the feedback is hidden.
Is the Object that RKT Field Driver on turned off in the Viewport~Filter settings? For instance. If the Field Driver is driving a Joint, but Joints are hidden in the Viewport, the feedback will be hidden as well.
